Julian Cochran Foundation
Chance for pianists – cooperation of Hala Koszyki and Julian Cochran Foundation
Classical music, technology and business – unusual mix but really achievable.
The best example is Julian Cochran Foundation, that promotes young pianists.
On November 13, it will open its first Polish center at Hala Koszyki.
Julian Cochran Foundation is an organization which connects classical music, business and new technologies. It is set up by a group of experts experienced in managing international cultural events. Its goal is to change the way classical music is perceived. They try to develop new solutions in the field of culture, achieving it by use of innovative technologies and business activation.
Hala Koszyki provided space on the first floor of the building for JFC, thus Koszyki became the first Polish commercial place, in which classical music performances will take place regularly.
“We decided to bestow our space to this foundation, because we also like the idea of spreading classical music. Thanks to the foundation our guests will spend time in accompaniment of its sounds at specified hours” – says Paweł Konarski, Hall Manager of Hala Koszyki.
Thanks to the cooperation, professional pianists will have an access to professional equipment and an opportunity to practice for free. Pianists will also present their skills during Sunday concerts at Hala Koszyki. Their recitals will begin in December.
The opening of JFC space will take place on November 13 at 19:00.
The event will be celebrated with a piano recital of Julian Cochran – composer, mathematician and a patron of the Foundation.
