Photo exhibition of Avalon EXTREME project
Visit level -1, where an exhibition of photographs by Wojciech Artyniew who documented the activities within the Avalon Extreme project will be presented until the end of April.
The initiative is run by the Avalon Foundation and it promotes extreme sports among people with disabilities and creates their image as active, fit, independent and successful people. The project includes regular activities carried out under the supervision of qualified trainers, training sessions, competitions and series of sports events for people with disabilities and those able-bodied.
The photos illustrate extreme sports events such as wheelchair rugby, racing, sitwake − a seated variety of wakeboard, crossfit training and Wheelmageddon cross-country race on wheelchairs, which has been organised for three years.
The exhibition documents unique passion, determination and hard work of the participants of the project. The photos show that there are no barriers and everyone − even people with disabilities − can live actively.
The works can be seen until 30 April.
